Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Conditioning Workouts


If you are not playing a fall sport or on an outside sports teams, complete these workouts in order to prepare yourself for the season.

Monday:

  • 3 sets of the following:  30 sec Hard, 90 sec rest, 30 sec Hard, 90 sec rest, 30 sec Hard, 4 min rest (be walking during rest)
  • If able to get on a track:  3 sets of 3 x 200m, 90 sec rest between 200m, 4min rest between sets (be walking during rest)

Tuesday:

  • 30 minute easy run
  • Circuit – each exercise for 60 sec, 30 sec rest
    • Push ups, Planks, Sit ups, wall sits, Supermans, Fire Hydrants, Squats
  • 3 sets of circuit above

Wednesday

  • 3 sets of the following: 60 sec hard, 90 sec rest, 60 sec hard, 90 sec, 60 sec, 90 sec rest, 60 sec hard, 5 mins rest (be walking during rest)
  • If able to get on a track: 3 sets of 4x400m, 2 min rest between 400m, 5 min rest between sets (be walking during rest)

Thursday

  • 30 minute easy run
  • Circuit – each exercise for 60 sec, 30 sec rest
    • Jumping Jacks, Squat Jumps, Burpees, High Knees, 6 inches, Sit Ups, Planks
  • 3 sets of circuit above

Friday

  • 3 sets of the following: 1:30 hard, 1:30 each, 1 min hard, 1 min easy, 45 sec hard, 45 sec easy, 30 sec hard, 30 sec easy
  • If able to get on a track:  3 Sets of:  Hard 500m, Jog 400m, Hard 300m, Jog 200m, Hard 100
    • Walk 1/2 lap and rest for additional 2 mins between each set
